The Internet plays a big part in today’s society. Not only has it changed the way we communicate, it has also changed the way we consume news. This infographic, created by Flowtown, has included fascinating statistics that highlight the Internet’s impact on the news industry.

61% of Americans received news through online sites, which surpassed traditional print papers (50%). While major news sites like CNN and NYTimes remain dominant, blogs and other social media platforms are already playing a huge role in disseminating news.
