Metrics, metrics, metrics. For some, metrics and knowledge management are often considered as water and oil: they do not mix. Some advocate that organisations have to believe KM is a good investment without offering any sort of evidence that is indeed the case.
With the increasing interest in the use of web 2.0 tools within organisations, the issue resurfaces and organisations are keen to understand what benefits they may expect and what metrics they can use to assess the return on investment.
So, here are some ideas.
