Google Wave provides new perspective on integration of email with business processes

Today, business processes which involve collaboration between people typically include documents, appointments and communication via email, phone, messenger, etc. Email, in particular, is often the backbone of these processes although it was not designed for that purpose. Although in some cases its shortcomings have been addressed successfully (e.g., integration with calendars), in others, we are still far from acceptable solutions. In particular, the support to organize and manage information is terrible, despite folders, tags and search mechanisms.

This article provides an interesting perspective on how Google Wave addresses this problem.
